Here's another inexpensive "do-it-yourself" gift.  Put the dry ingredients for a carrot cake in a quart canning jar.  Embellish the jar with raffia ribbon and perhaps some tiny clay carrots, or set it in a basket that's  been lined with artificial lettuce leaves and filled with a couple of carrots.

Whimsical Carrots

This is a great gift for the cheese lover--and a cute way to package that cheese!  You will need a clear icing decorator bag, orange cellophane wrap, a rubber band, green curling ribbon and some cheese curls.  Simply place the cheese curls in the decorator bag; bind the top of the bag temporarily with a rubber band.  Then wrap the cellophane around the decorator bag so it fits securely; you may need to use a little tape.  Take off the rubber band and tie the top with green curling ribbon.  The finished product will look like a large carrot!
